This morning we look at the festival La Batie (31 August - 14 September), including some of the highlights on the main programme; Shakespeare as you've never seen it, the mini-Batie (for kids) contemporary dance and the Queer Fish club to party the night away before Jeûne Genevois.
Also, several cultural Heritage sights will open their doors this weekend to reveal their hidden treasures (1 - 2 September). This is your chance to discover some normally closed off tarmac from Geneva airport, see Voltaire's nightcap or a hydro-dam on the Rhône. This is all part of the European Heritage Days. Some events require registration.
The Youth Orchestra of Bahia /NEOJIBA perform Classical music as you've never seen before at the Victoria Hall this September and the Cinémas du Grütli Retrospective on Milos Forman is already underway: There's still time to see movies he directed there such as One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), Hair (1979), Amadeus (1984), The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) and Man on the Moon (1999) until Tuesday 11th September.
