GEDS perform Frankenstein 200 years after Mary Shelley wrote her novel
The Geneva English Drama Society (GEDS) perform Frankenstein between the 2-6th October 2018 at the Théâtre de l'Éspéreance in Geneva.
We always think the other is the monster...
2018 marks the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s celebrated novel, Frankenstein, written and set in Geneva. When published, this radical work shook contemporary society as the first work of science fiction, the first work of gothic horror, and the greatest romantic novel of the era. Now, the story returns to its original Geneva roots and the terrifying, tragic confrontation between a man obsessed with his own quest for knowledge, and his creation, a being who did not ask to be created and craves only to be loved.
