Dig It! Autumn flowers (19 September 2016)
As the days get shorter and the evenings cooler, the autumn stars of the garden begin to shine. Among my favourite autumn flowering plants are sedums, or stonecrops, providing intersting foliage all year as well as brilliant autumn flower colour. Chris Hansen, a sedum breeder from Michigan is crazy about these plants and we caught up with him at Plantarium, where he told us all about their latest medal-winner, the lovely ground-cover Sedoro "Blue Elf." If you want some ideas for planting sedums, go to thir site www.sunsparklersedums.com and check out their make-over of their car park!
