Dechen - Tibetan mantras from Switzerland
Dechen Shak-Dagsay began singing tradutional Tibetan mantras with modern melodies 20 years ago. Her music is soft, meditative and calm, even trance-like at times. Her most recent album has introduced some songs with a heavier beat.
Dechen is commited to "preserving Tibetan culture in the West" and considers herself a product of Eastern and Western Culture, having arrived in Switzerland in 1963.
