CineGlobe - a free film festival, inspired by science
Alex Brown from CineGlobe talks to WRS about this free film event from CERN in Geneva.
The CineGlobe International Film Festival at CERN returns for its 9th edition on 3-7 July 2019!
Exploring the interface between science and cinema, this year’s festival theme is “Transformation/Transcendence". With specially-selected short films (documentary, fiction and a special youth programme), feature-length films, hands-on animation & photography workshops, drop-in activities for all ages and unique virtual reality experiences.
The festival runs non-stop from midday to midnight every day, with a 10am start on Saturday and Sunday.
New this year: thanks to a LED screen, the daytime short film screenings will take place outdoors, so you can enjoy the sunshine and really enjoy the festival atmosphere.
Feeling peckish? A café will be available with a lunch and dinner meal service as well as refreshments throughout the festival.
The entire event is free of charge; sign-up is only required for weekend workshops and for reserving transat seating for the evening events. For more information, visit our website www.cineglobe.ch and find us on social media.
