Basel's 'Semi Circle' present Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit
The Semi-Circle is a non-profit English language theatre group, based in Basel, which operates entirely with volunteers.
Founded in 1975, Semi-Circle stages two productions every year - usually in June and November. It is their aim to bring to life on stage dramatic works in the English language. They also hold some special events for members (which anyone can become, for a small fee), and monthly play readings which are open to all.
The upcoming production of Blithe Spirit, By Noel Coward, will be on at the Theatre Rampe in Basel, every Friday and Saturday evening starting June 9th through the 24th.
The show is a fast moving comedy, set in the 1930s, about a love-triangle between a husband and his two beautiful wives - one of whom is alive and the other who is very much dead. It's a witty, riotous English classic.
We found out more about the theatre company as a whole from Sue Newstead, President of The Semi-Circle and Scott Holland, Director of this upcoming production of Blithe Spirit, told us about the upcoming show.
