Ballet dancing for over 55s

Mid Morning Mix // Community// Health// Sport// Art & Culture // Jan. 28, 2019

Fiona Hayward Bujard tells us why the over 55s should start dancing!

Having trained at the Royal Ballet School and having run her own dance company in London for many years, Fiona is now about to start teaching ballet to over 55s in Geneva, Switzerland. We talk to her about the benefits of dancing, especially relating to age. Increased energy, an expanding social circle and an improved sense of wellbeing are all reasons why Fiona is encouraging us to dance!

Her class is based on the Royal Academy of Dance programme - Silver Swans, which encourages dancers both with and without previous dance experience, to enjoy the physical and psychological benefits of ballet.

Her first 2 lessons in February will be taster sessions, with no commitment, and only CHF 5-.

For more information about the class in Meyrin, Geneva, contact Fiona for more information at haybuj@hotmail.co.uk
