As the days get shorter and the evenings cooler, the autumn stars of the garden begin to shine.
On this week's Dig It! Hester discusses her favourite autumn flowering plants. Sedums, or stonecrops, provide interesting foliage all year as well as brilliant autumn flower colour.
Chris Hansen, a sedum breeder from Michigan is crazy about these plants and we caught up with him at Plantarium, where he told us all about their latest medal-winner, the lovely ground-cover Sedoro "Blue Elf."
If you want some ideas for planting sedums, go to the Sun Sparkler Sedums website and check out their make-over of their car park!
