A 21-year-old woman in Schaffhausen has been detained by police in a case of illegal file sharing.

The woman is thought to have shared and downloaded 3,100 songs from an Internet file sharing site.

She will now have to appear before a judge.

She says she was downloading music for personal use and didn’t know that service automatically shared and reproduced files for other users to find.
