Jazz Festival hit by new travel rules

Stefan Brending

The planned line-up for the Montreux Jazz Festival has taken a major hit because of the latest travel restrictions from the UK.

Those coming in from the UK are free to enter Switzerland if they are fully vaccinated. But artists like Rag n Bone Man, Inhaler, Alfa Mist and the Yussef Dayes Trio have all had to pull out as they haven’t had two doses of the vaccine.

Artists already on the agenda and not coming in from the UK, such as Woodkid and Zucchero, will play extra gigs to cover the shortfall.

If anyone had tickets for the British artists, they can be used for the replacements – or it’s possible to get a refund.
